Charging into the new year!

I'm always looking for ways to feature my grandmothers dishes and make them even more beautiful! Today I found something that made me jump for joy! I use to do hand painting of the back of glass plates but I had never decoupaged a glass plate until today. I bought this fabulous tissue months ago, and finally found this awesome project to use it in!
I used gloss Mod Podge because that's what I had. I would recommend a matte finish. Tear the paper so it has raw edges, apply the Mod Podge on the back of the glass, place pieces on the glass and Mod Podge over top. Try not to overlap too much and let dry! That's it! You can spray seal the back after it's completely dry. To clean use a damp cloth on the top only.
Enjoy!

celeste m. designs 2010 Harlow Collection

Inspired by the Blonde Bombshell Jean Harlow celeste m. designs brings you "The Harlow Collection"

Beautiful and full of movie star like sparkle and Hollywood glamour...

Hard at work in studio today...and looking forward to the kiddos going back to school. As much as I love having them home...
It has been our busiest year yet for CMD and that I am eternally thankful for that! The doors to the studio have been spinning since thanksgiving...love that I am doing what I dream of and plan on doing it so much better this year. So thankful for all of my clients, family and friends who offer endless support, encouragement and inspiration.
Working on doing a better job of the business end since I am hyper/creative and looking forward to putting together a team of great people to take on this joy ride. Many more ideas for the new website. Music is such a main component to my design work so I will be looking at adding a music page to my site and using this to post my favorite artist. Such respect for musicians...yes even John Mayer. There is something so vulnerable and raw to putting yourself out there. Something you wrote like music or made with your hands...to be judged by everyone.
Most of all looking forward to a New Year and making some great changes...
"the most important thing is this: to be able to sacrifice what we are for what we could become"
Cheers to 2010 and a great year ahead:)
