(My apologies to my dear friend Kathy who left a 79 degree Venice Florida to be here on this glorious day!)
Good thing for us our sports teams and our weather have taught us to be strong and that denial can be good and is more than just a river in Egypt. (One of my Dad's favorite Mike-isms)
Here are a few things you can do to help you hang in here until the sunshine and warmer days come!
#1 Cook something summery today! Maybe some fish tacos or a light salad filled with colorful fruits. Squeeze fresh lemon and limes on everything! Citrus make you happier!❤️
#2 Ditch your regular body lotion for your best smelling suntan lotion. Something coconutty and warm smelling can instantly transport you to a tropical island in your memories!
#3 Trade your old screen savers for new beach scenes!
#4 Take a few minutes to watch a video of the waves... I promise you, your body will involuntarily let out a deep sigh no matter how much stressed you are under.
#5 Find some time to sweat... Go to the gym, hit the sauna or just jump rope at home. It will make you happier and it will make it easier to get into those shorts or gasp... Bathing suit!
#6 Use this time to get all those sunny clothes to the front of your closet and send the sweaters packing! I like to store my seasonal clothes in old suitcases and stack them for decoration. That way of I need to pull a sweater out, (it is Cleveland after all), they are close at hand but out of sight!
I can't wait to wear this ripcurl dress!
So hang in there everyone... Warmer days are ahead, so find some ways to make your own sunshine! You can't always depend on the weather or others to make you happy, it's up you! You got this! Right?
I would love to hear how you make your own sunshine!
Here is a sunny song from our celeste m. Music cafe:
All my best,
Xo
