"January Fog"

January Fog...
Driving home the other day slowly due to the dense fog I was taken back by how much I was dwelling on what we cannot see when fog sets in...I was by the lake where it seemed so calm, I thought it looked so cool and then I realized I still had the camera from earlier in the day when my son went to basketball. Yippee! I pulled by the lake and just drove around thinking I could get a few shots from the car...no need to get out of my warm car and give up my heated seat...well not for long...took a few then had to jump out to get just the right shot...I found it so interesting how the fog sets in and everything disappears...when I took the photos I thought, is it really that everything disappears in the fog or is it that the fog makes some things seem so much more clear...funny how it seemed so calm to me...like when you focus on only a few really important things and the rest seems to wait patiently while you put your blinders on and move from one task to the next...I couldn't help but look at the fog very differently after I took all the pictures...instead of seeing all the trees you could only see the ones in front and they became so much stronger...the arrows on the road seemed to symbolize for me that we all have choices and you can change the way you feel by the way you view things...

I love how the trees in the front of this one are sooo dark....

This one you can tell how much snow has melted...made me happy to see green grass:)

This is my favorite....I love the empty benches and the squiggly branch hanging down.

Just a day in the January fog...I love where I live and the difference in our weather:)

celeste m. designs 2010 Harlow Collection

Inspired by the Blonde Bombshell Jean Harlow celeste m. designs brings you "The Harlow Collection"

Beautiful and full of movie star like sparkle and Hollywood glamour...

Hard at work in studio today...and looking forward to the kiddos going back to school. As much as I love having them home...
It has been our busiest year yet for CMD and that I am eternally thankful for that! The doors to the studio have been spinning since thanksgiving...love that I am doing what I dream of and plan on doing it so much better this year. So thankful for all of my clients, family and friends who offer endless support, encouragement and inspiration.
Working on doing a better job of the business end since I am hyper/creative and looking forward to putting together a team of great people to take on this joy ride. Many more ideas for the new website. Music is such a main component to my design work so I will be looking at adding a music page to my site and using this to post my favorite artist. Such respect for musicians...yes even John Mayer. There is something so vulnerable and raw to putting yourself out there. Something you wrote like music or made with your hands...to be judged by everyone.
Most of all looking forward to a New Year and making some great changes...
"the most important thing is this: to be able to sacrifice what we are for what we could become"
Cheers to 2010 and a great year ahead:)
